Sally on the road – November/December 2010
“There are shafts of sunlight filtering through these songs.”
Who Weekly
Sally Seltmann has left her New Buffalo persona behind and is quickly gathering a reputation as a true pop contender.
Sally – who has released two albums under the New Buffalo Moniker and is an award winning songwriter – will be hitting the road this November and December for a series of shows across the country. The tour precedes Sally’s performances at the Woodford Folk, Falls & Southbound Festivals over the New Year period. She will be performing songs from her much-lauded new album ‘Heart That’s Pounding’, as well as some staples from the New Buffalo back-catalogue.
Joining Sally for the run of dates will be Melbourne’s Oh Mercy. Having recently returned from the US and a tour with The Temper Trap, and with a sell out tour of their own under their belt in support of their Keith St 7” single. Oh Mercy are thrilled to join Sally Seltmann on tour and will be playing favourites from their debut album Privileged Woes as well as previewing some newer numbers from their sophomore album, which is due in early 2011.
“She thoroughly seduced the crowd.”
Fasterlouder
“Bursting with sweetness, light and vintage pop songs.”
Rolling Stone
“…channels the classic 1960s and 70s pop of Phil Spector, Burt Bacharach and Carole King.”
