LOVING YOU-out now!

My new single Loving You is out now on all streaming services!

It’s an uplifting song inspired by earlier this year when I was recovering from a head injury (yep!).

Here is the story behind the song.

My life tends to roll along in a relatively seamless fashion, followed by a bumpity bump – both states interchanging sporadically, keeping me on my toes.
This year in late January, I experienced something that seemed much bigger than a bump, even though a bump was what it was, literally.

I was out walking my very big dog Teddy when he pulled really hard on the lead, heading straight for a jovial group of friendly people and smaller dogs. I held so tight to the lead, running fast in order to keep up, and then – I blacked out.

When I woke, multiple members of my community were looking down on me. A blue sky and mottled tree branches were their back drop.
Yes, I was lying flat on my back on the ground, in a concussed daze.
Apparently I had flown up in the air (possibly tripped ??) and landed head first on the around.

Those who were with me called an ambulance. Once in hospital I was diagnosed with a mild head injury and concussion.

Two days after being discharged from hospital I woke in the night with severe vertigo. (Lots of calling out and demonstrative howling).
Back in an ambulance, and then back in a white sheeted hospital bed, the doctors discovered that the crystals in my ears had been dislodged.
If you’ve never heard of this before, look it up, it’s fascinating.

So, back home and recovering from my head injury,  I felt strange and very slow in my mind and brain. This would pass, the doctors told me.

But in this state of hazy bewilderment, one thing seemed incredibly clear.

Love. The love I have for those around me. My true love. My love of making music. My love of art and literature. My love of nature.
And then I wrote a song and called it Loving You.
